Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital role supporting student health as a contract registered nurse for the current school year, with opportunities to extend through June. This unique position allows you to float across multiple PreK-12 sites, serving as the primary health room nurse and ensuring a safe, caring environment for students of all ages.

What You’ll Bring:

• Active Missouri RN license in good standing (verified through Nursys, no license actions)
• Recent pediatric experience – preference for backgrounds in ICU, ER, or school nursing
• Confidence working independently after thorough two-week training
• Strong adaptability to shift between age groups, campuses, and situations
• Proficiency with computer-based charting and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Flexible attitude – schedules, assignments, and locations may change week-to-week or even day-to-day based on field trips and staff coverage needs
• Comfort with solo RN responsibilities after initial orientation

Your Responsibilities:

• Float among PreK-12 campuses, providing comprehensive health services and covering health rooms (sometimes changing sites in the same day)
• Deliver care and respond to health emergencies, manage medications, and maintain accurate, timely records
• Collaborate with school staff and administration to support students’ medical needs
• Accompany classes on field trips as the designated healthcare provider
• Communicate schedule changes and updates with reliability and professionalism
