Job Description

Credentialing Coordinator
A busy New York hospital is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to support operations activities within our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize MD-Stat Peer Review software to manage the credentialing process.
  • Facilitate Peer Review, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) processes.
  • Analyze, extract, and report credentialing and performance data to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutes and laws relating to credentialing.
  • Maintain and update credentialing records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with medical staff and departments to collect and verify necessary documentation.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for internal reviews and external audits.
  • Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare credentialing role.
  • Experience utilizing MD-Stat Peer Review software is required.
  • Working knowledge of CPMSM or CPCS is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with OPPE/FPPE processes is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and interpret data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software platforms.
