Credentialing Coordinator A busy New York hospital is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to support operations activities within our team.
Responsibilities: - Utilize MD-Stat Peer Review software to manage the credentialing process.
- Facilitate Peer Review, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) processes.
- Analyze, extract, and report credentialing and performance data to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutes and laws relating to credentialing.
- Maintain and update credentialing records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with medical staff and departments to collect and verify necessary documentation.
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal reviews and external audits.
- Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the department.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare credentialing role.
- Experience utilizing MD-Stat Peer Review software is required.
- Working knowledge of CPMSM or CPCS is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with OPPE/FPPE processes is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and interpret data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software platforms.
